Hello friends! I am * so * excited to share our latest collection with you today, it is Justina X Backgable and is full of color, pattern and personality, just as I like!
Working with backgable in this collaboration has been very dreamy. I have always believed that color is the best reinforcement of mood, and it is something that I am passionate about infusing in all aspects of my life. With this collection, I wanted to bring that same joy to their homes. Backups are not only seen * so * vibrant, but the washable appearance makes them incredible practical, without special with an occupied home. It is difficult to choose a favorite between Eartha, who brings so much happiness to my living room every day, and the daring strong pink of Magdalena in my kitchen, finally fulfilling my dream of having a strong pink!

The inspiration behind the designs:
As with most of my designs, I designed the collection for *me *. I leaned on my experiences and my taste, sometimes imagining different versions or myself in several stages of my life. If you share my passion for vibrant colors, intricate patterns and designs inspired by nature, I believe and hope that this collection also resonates with you! Each piece of this collection tells its own story: Sonia and Billie, originated in my paintings. Josephine and Eartha, drawing from my illustrative work, were caused by my son, the love of the Montesses cats. Alice and Georgia, with botanical motifs with an eclectic touch, find their roots in ancient Egyptian art, infused with my contemporary kaleidoscopic atmosphere. Nature serves as inspiration for many of my designs, either literally expressed as seen in the fronds of Palma de Tarsila or abstractly, as in the interpretation of glass in the form of a glass. Some pieces were inspired by my trips to places like New Mexico and Morocco. Sometimes, it is difficult to determine exactly where inspiration comes from, sometimes designs simply leave me! It was very fun to work with the incredible creative ruggable team to translate my vision and art into “traversable”, washable, art! Through the collection, there is a subtle wink to Mother Nature’s enchantment, and I think this mimics each piece with its ineffable magic. In addition, each of the back is after the artists that I have inspired through my life, can you imagine the artists who inspired each design?
