‘Falcon’ flies on Star Wars Day: SpaceX launches Starlink satellites from Florida

When you fulfill its homonym of Star Wars, a flight of toks from Cohete Spacex Falcon 9 again, delivering 29 Starlink satellites to low Earth Orbit (Leo) on Sunday, May 4, 2025 – Star Wars Day.

The launch occurred at 4:54 am EDT (0854 GMT) of the 39A complex at the NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Approximately 8.5 minutes later, the first stage of the rocket returned to the Earth, accepting its touchdown on the Spacex drone ship “A Gravitas Deficit.” It was the 20th launch and landing for this particular reinforcement, according to the description of the mission of a company.

With 29 Starlink satellites on board, this was the largest number of broadband that provides spacecraft in a Falcon 9 launch to date. Spacex has now launched almost 8,500 Starlink satellites to date, more than 7,300 or that remain operational in Leo, according to the satellite and astrophysical tracker Jonathan McDowell.
