IN-SPACe signs MoU with Karnataka govt to strengthen state’s NewSpace ecosystem

The Center for Authorization and Promotion and Authorization of the Indian National Space (in space), and the Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science and Technology have signed a memorandum of understanding with the Karnataka government to accelerate the commercial spatial launch of the State. The signed Mou includes establishing a center of excellence for spatial technologies in Bengaluru and establishing a public-private space manufacturing park.

In space there is a government organization constituted to open the space sector and allow the participation of Indian private companies in the space sector. Founded in 2020, the organization is responsible for the promotion, authorization, authorization and supervision of various space activities of non -governmental entities.

The Mous were signed by Dr. Ekroop Caur, IAS, Secretary of the Government (electronics, IT, Biotechnology and Science and Technology), Government or Karnataka; and Mr. Lochan Sehra, Ias, Joint Secretary, in space, in the presence of Dr. Shalini Rajneesh, Ias, head secretary of the Karnataka government, and Dr. Pawan Goenka, president, in space.

Dr. Pawan Goenka, president, in space, said: “The state of Karnataka has become a center for new spaces and space companies of the New Age. The MOU will reinforce this ecosystem and support the efforts of the State and the country in the mute of success. To see more satellites, engines and space technologies in space in the state.”

The collaboration occurs after the Karnataka government had published its draft of the Karnataka Space Technology Policy, 2024-29 in November or last year, with the aim of making the State a global destination for space technology.

“The Mou with space in space marked a new chapter on the space trip of Karnataka creating a talent without problems and a value chain with the regulatory support required to compete worldwide,” said Dr. Shalini Rajneesh, main secretary of the Karnataka government.
