The travelers were stranded in the train stations throughout the Bay area after a computer problem knocked out the service on Friday morning to the region’s trains system.

Bay Area Transit Rapid (Bart) has been completing since before 4:30 am on Friday, according to a Bart alert.

“Due to a computer networks problem, the Bart service is suspended from the broad system until new notice,” Bart’s officials shared on the alert. “Look for alternative means of transport.”

It was not when the problem could be solved.

Bart’s collapse throughout the system caused chaos on trips on travel throughout the San Francisco Bay area. The Heavy Railway Line, which connects five of the most populated counties and ties in the region, San Francisco with Oakland, is used by more than 150,000 travelers, most of the mornings of the days of the week, according to transit data.

The travelers rushed to make alternative arrangements, while traffic increased a lot through the Bay bridge and shared travel services such as Uber reported having higher rates due to greater demand.

Bart officials encouraged passengers to find transport alternatives in their place, which seemed correct alternative bus lines.

A host of the region’s traffic agencies tried to go to the help of travelers. The San Francisco Bay Ferry system put its largest ferries in service and urged people who needed transportation from Oakland, Alameda, Richmond and Vallejo to take them. AC Transit, the East Bay bus system, transported buses full of passengers on the Bay bridge to the Salesforce Transit Center.
