School Official Sentenced to Life in Damanhour Child Assault Case

The Damanhour Criminal Court sentimental A 79 -year -old school officer of life imprisonment for positions of sexual assault on a minor student within a private school in Damanhour, according to local media information Wednesday, April 30.

The defendant served as a financial officer at the school. He was referred to the trial by the Central Office of Damanhour Prosecutor’s Office in March 2025 under the positions of the central assault of a child under 18, as described in article 268 (paragraphs 1 and 2) or the Egyptian Criminal Code.

Prosecutor’s records indicated that the child had identified the accused on two separate occasions. The reports also showed five documented meetings between the child and the defendant, with initial awards later affected by the altered appearance of the accused.

The ruling marks significant development in a case that has aroused public emotion and caused renewed calls for child protection and responsibility within educational institutions.
