Russia said Sunday that he “strongly condemned” the bombings of the nuclear sites of the United States in Iran, calling “irresponsible” attacks and a “serious violation of international law.”
“It is already clear that a dangerous climb has begun, full of even more undermining regional and global security,” the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement.
The United States reached three nuclear sites in Iran on Sunday, joining the Israel bombing campaign after days of speculation about the participation of the United States in the conflict.
“Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been totally erased. Iran, the Middle East, now must make peace,” said President Donald Trump in a speech after the strikes.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned the attacks of the United States as “scandalous” and said his country had the right to defend his sovereignty.
“This morning’s events are outrageous and will have eternal consequences,” he published on social networks, calling “without law and criminal” attacks.
Later, Araghchi said that the United States and Israel crossed “a very large red line” with the attacks, and said he would go to Moscow later on Sunday to talk with President Vladimir Putin.
