Trump administration experts are increasingly concerned about solo meetings of the special envoy Steve Witkoff with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the New York Post said Wednesday, citing the family of Anonymous Fuentes with the matter.

According to reports, Witkoff, a former real estate lawyer and investor known as “Feroz Negotiator”, with Putin four times since February with experienced diplomatic advisors or interpreters examined, breaking with a diplomatic protocol.

Duration at its last meeting last Friday at the Kremlin, Putin joined Senior Yury Ushakov and the head of the Direct Investment Fund of Russia, Kirill Dmitriyev. In a Kremlin video of that meeting, you can listen to Witkoff Ask if the only person sitting on his side of the table for discussions was “of the embassy.”

Initially, appointed special envoy of the Middle East after the Trump Toke office in January, Witkoff has had tasks on an extended role as an ambassador in general, in charge of negotiating the end of the war in Ucrine.

His direct and supervisory diplomacy has caused criticisms of the entire political spectrum. The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, and some Russian state media have accused or praised Witkoff for echoing the Kremlin messages.

Others have pointed out the lack of familiarity of Witkoff with the identities and background of the interpreters presenting their meetings with Putin.

“Good guy, but a clumsy King’s idiot … shouldn’t be doing this alone,” said NyP citing a Trump administration official.

The retired general of the Keith Kellogg army, who was first appointed specially sent for the Russia-Ukraine War, has been reallocated as “special envoy for Ukraine” alone, leaving the two main US negotiators with limited pools, the discussions of the tabloids.

“If Trump finally took the mediation of the end of the war in Ukraine seriously, he would designate a person to speak with both parties, the diplomacy of the ferry, and someone preferential with some experience in diplomacy”, ex ancient ” The United States ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul wrote in X. “Witkoff acts as a postman for Putin. He is not negotiating anything.”

After the most recent visit of Witkoff to Moscow and warnings of the State Department that the United States could withdraw from its mediation role in the peace conversations, Putin proposes a high 72 -hour fire for the fall fire with the holidays on the Victory Day of May 9 of Russia.

Both Ukraine and the White House ruled out the idea, urging the Kremlin to accept a high fire agreement of 30 days that US officials propose for the first time after discussions in March. Putin rejected that proposal.
