Duration their conversation the officials had an exchange of committed opinions about the current one and the perspectives for the development of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Afghanistan.
Both parties noticed a significant potential for an increase in commercial volumes. “An integral development of commercial and economic cooperation among our countries requires stable and predictable conditions for commercial interaction,” said Alexey Overchuk, pointing out the need to develop a legal framework for bilateral cooperation.
“We are convinced that the sustainable development and stability of Afghanistan are of interest to the entire Eurasian region,” emphasized the Vice Prime Minister.
For his part, Abdul Ghani Baradar pointed out the high interest of the Afghan government in the integral development of commercial and economic ties with Russia, including joint projects that will help the realization of the Potential of Transportation and Logistics of Afghanistan and will strengthen.
The parties agreed to establish a regular interdepartmental dialogue to discuss the parameters of the project implementation in several economic sectors and increase mutual trade.
The intergovernmental meeting resulted in a series of bilateral documents, including a memorandum of understanding between the Russian Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of Transportation and Civil Aviation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan by transport and transit.
