Trump had established the call in the midst of growing frustrations with Moscow and kyiv after an electoral campaign of promising kis to end the three -year conflict in 24 hours.
“Completed my two -hour call with President Vladimir Putin de Russia. I think it was very good,” Trump said in his real social network.
“Russia and Ukraine will immediately begin negotiations towards a high fire and, more importantly, the end of the war.”
Trump added that the “tone and spirit of the conversation were excellent.”

‘Correct road’
Putin said Russia “would propose and will be ready to work with the Ukrainian side in a memorandum on a possible future peace agreement that defines a variety of positions.”
The Russian president added that the conversations with kyiv last week in Istanbul had put the world “on the right path” to resolve the conflict, but said that more commitments were still needed.
