Athletics announced on Friday that the right Gunnar Hoglund will be filed for the rest of the 2025 season after successful hip surgery.

The first -year pitcher was placed on the 15 -day injury list with the impact of the hip on June 2, retroactive to June 1. The Atlistras described surgery as a “hip labral repair and cartilage debridement” in their right hip.

Hoglund, 25, made his debut in the big leagues for Atlético this season after being selected 19th in general by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2021 MLB Draft. He won his first appearance, a beginning of six entries against the Hos Miami Marlins on May 2, in which seven strikeouts were caught and delivered a race in a 6-1 victory.

Subsequent outputs through May were less effective. He sits 1-3 in the season with an effectiveness of 6.40 and 23 strikeouts in six openings (32 1/3 tickets).
