The LPGA board of directors elected Craig Kessler on Thursday as the tenth commissioner of organizations on Thursday.
Kessler, 39, worked more recently as the main operational sacrifice for the PGA of America.
His mandate begins on July 15 when he replaces Mollie Marcoux Samaan, who resigned in January.
“It’s just about leading a sports organization, it’s about redefining what is possible,” said Kessler. “This role is deeply personal for me, not only as a professional opportunity, but as a chans to make a difference in the world and create new opportunities for others. Golf changes lives. I believe in the mission of the LPGA, its impulse.
Kessler’s appointment is the duration of the emblematic season of the 75th anniversary of LPGA.
