The Texas Rangers have finally left a prolonged score drop and will try to maintain that impulse when they face athletics on Wednesday in the third competition of a series of four games in Arlington, Texas.

It will be a battle of high profile holders, since athletics will send Luis Severino (1-3, 3.49 of effectiveness) to the mound and Texas will counteract with the right-wing partner Nathan EOVALDI (2-2, 2.21).

The Rangers exorcised their demon without score on Wednesday, surpassing Atlético 15-2 even for even the series in one victory each and obtained a losing run of three games. Adolis García and Wyatt Langford had a three -racing double ranges in the sixth entrance and Kyle Higashioka added a double three races in the eighth in the victory.

The 18 -hits attack of the Rangers season was led by three hits each by Leody Taveras, Josh Smith and Marcus Semien.

It was the highest game of the Rangers season, with much.

“At some point we knew we would have a great game,” said Semien after the victory on Tuesday. “It was us making the pitchers come to us and picking up the boys when we had them at the base.”

Eovaldi threw well in his last beginning, throwing six inputs without goals while allowing only three hits and walking one and struggling seven in a 2-0 victory over Justin Lander Lander and San Francisco in his 300 major leagues game. EOVALDI struck out seven of the last 13 batters he faced, including the side at his final entrance.

“Your good improve as they advance, and that is what Nate did,” said Texas manager Bruce Bochy. “Nate did his own. Good mix. Good command. His command has something better and better with all his releases.”

Of all Texas pitchers, Eovaldi has been a victim more for the anemic offensive of the Rangers, since the team scored only 11 races in total around its seven openings in 2024.

“Fortunately, there are always one or two releases that I can go with a little more command,” Eovaldi said. “Even when I am behind, there are always other releases that I can launch in the area to have the respect of the batters. That is a large part of that, using all my releases, showing everything.”

Eovaldi has taken the mound 13 times in his career against athletics, accumulating a 3-2 record and an effectiveness of 2.85 in 75 2/3 tickets while allowing 25 races, 63 hits, 24 walks and hitting 67.

Severino has been solid despite his record, producing a victory and without decision in his last two appearances. It allowed three races in six hits and two bases per ball, while strucking seven batters of the season around six entries in its most recent period, a game that athletics won 6-5 at Casa Agast to the Chicago Blancas Sox on April 25.

“You go thinking that it will be a round trip game and you only keep the plan,” said Severino, who at the party signed the biggest free agent contract in the history of the team. “Our mentality is that we just need to fight. And we have the alignment: we have sound launch and a lot of boys who can really hit, to stay in this race.”

In seven appearances in his career against the Rangers (six openings), Severino has a 2-2 record with an effectiveness of 3.93 in 34 1/3 tickets. It has allowed 15 races in 24 hits and 13 bases per ball while strucking at 29.
