A brush fire broke out Tuesday afternoon in Burbank, which caused evacuations among neighborhoods at the base of the foothills.

The fire, called Bethany Fire, was reported before 3:30 pm near Bethany Road and Amherst Drive, according to Burbank Fire Department.

At 4:30 pm, the fire had consumed up to 10 acres, and the officials had requested an evacuation order for houses above calling Drive and west of Walnut Avenue, along with the debt golf club.

Around 6 pm, the department reported that the progress forward in the fire had stopped and all evacuation orders rose.

“A fire hose has been placed around the fire to keep it contained,” bubank firefighters said.

The teams were prepared to monitor the fire and the continuous cleaning during the night, the department said.

Fire officials did not sacrifice information about what the fire could have begun.
