A dump truck crashed into five vehicles before plowing in the iconic whiskey to Go Club in West Hollywood, eliminating energy for nearby companies in the area, according to the authorities.

Saadah Sheikh, spokesman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department, said they have not reported injured and that it was not clear what captivated the driver of the dump truck to lose control of the commercial vehicle.

The incident occurred shortly before 2 pm when the truck crashed with five vehicles before crashing into the building 8900 of Sunset Boulevard, said Sheikh.

Jeff Monford, a spokesman in southern California Edison, said the dump truck knocked down a main cable, eliminating energy for some of the surrounding buildings. He said the interruption initially affected 1,420 to the client, but that was reduced to 225 when the teams redirected power.

He said that the teams were on the scene treating the blackout on Friday afternoon, but did not know when energy would be restored.
