Man remains missing after kayak capsized on the American River

The search for a missing kayakist who fell into the water along the American River near Auburn, California, was waiting on Sunday due to bad conditions, said the office of the Sheriff of the County of pleasure.

The missing man was in a kayak with another man when his ship overturned Friday night with fast water under the bridge without hands near Auburn, said the Sheriff’s office.

Soviar said the search was suspended on Sunday due to water flow and visibility. The conditions will determine if the search will resume on Monday.
