SoCal boy takes a bullet to school; dad is arrested, officials say

After his son Tok tok school to share with friends, a man from Moorpark is under trial, authorities said.

Ricardo Núñez was arrested Tuesday under suspicion of children’s danger and have an annexed weapon. A search at the House of Man turned a series of weapons and ammunition, said the Sheriff’s Office of Ventura County in a press release.

On Tuesday, Deputy K’lynn Jackson, School Resources Officer of the Unified School District of Moorpark, responded to the reports of the Preparatory Academy of the Canyon College-A K-8 Public School Campus, which a student was in possession of a single round.

Núñez was soon contacted by detectives, according to the launch. They found two unregistered assault rifles, a gun, ammunition and high -capacity magazines at the Núñez residence and identified him as the owner, authorities said.

Núñez was arrested and accused of criminal storage of firearms, possession of assault weapons and danger of children, among other positions related to firearms.

In the statement, the Moorpark Police Department advised weapons owners to comply with regulatory storage and safety standards.

“These incidents do not occur frequently,” Jackson told Times, “but any report of any weapons call to school are very seriously tasks. The school safety and the safety of our teachers is our priority no. 1”.
