The Pakistani police said Tuesday that a 17 -year -old Tiktok star was shot dead by a man who had repeatedly contacted her online.
Sana Yousaf, who turned 17 last week and had more than one million followers in his social media accounts, was killed at his home in the capital of Islamabad on Monday night.
Police arrested a 22 -year -old girl under suspicion or murder. They say spent crazy hours away from home.
“It was a case of repeated rejections. The child was trying to communicate with his over and over again,” said Islamabad Police Chief Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, a Duration Press Conference.
“It was a horrible and cold blood murder,” Rizvi added.
Yousaf had more than 800,000 followers on Tiktok, which is very popular in Pakistan. He published lip synchronization videos, skin care tips and promotional content for beauty products.
In the last video posted in the account, hours before his murder, he was seen cutting a cake for his birthday.
“Rest in peace” and “Justice for healthy,” said some comments under the video.
Violence against women is widespread in Pakistan’s agreement to the country’s human rights commission, and women’s cases are attacked after rejecting marriage proposals are not uncommon.
In 2021, Noor Mukadam, 27, was Beheaded by her pakistani-state boyfriendZahir Jaffer, after she rejected her marriage proposal in a case that caused a broad anger. Jaffer was sentenced to death.
In 2016, Khadija Siddiqui survived to be stabbed 23 times by an agitated ex -boyfriend.
